Interactive Map

To create this map we are using iNaturalist, this program allows us to keep track of newly planted oaks and established oaks we are protecting. From iNaturalist, we plan to export this information into our interactive map and we will update our map with information as we monitor our oaks. To view our iNaturalist project click here.

This interactive map shows all the locations of the Oregon White Oak trees that we have protected and planted throughout the city of Salem. If you hover over each point on the map, a drop-down menu will list each tree's identification number, where the tree came from, who donated the acorn that created the tree, when the tree was planted/protected, photos showcasing the tree's growth, what tree was in the spot before, as well as if the tree sustained any damage. This map will be regularly updated to reflect any and all changes.

Damaged Trees?

Please fill out the areas below to let us know about any damaged oak trees. For the type of damage, please list whether it could be human or animal interference. By letting us know, we will be able to repair any and all damages done to the oak tree.
